Virgin Islands

The Virgin Islands, an archipelago in the northeastern Caribbean, are divided between the United States and the United Kingdom, each offering a distinct flavor while sharing the same breathtaking landscapes. These islands are known for their lush hillsides, crescent-shaped beaches, and some of the clearest waters in the region. From vibrant coral reefs to secluded coves, the natural setting creates a playground for sailors, divers, and those simply looking to slow down and savor island life.

The islands carry a layered history shaped by the Indigenous Taíno, European colonizers, and the African diaspora. Plantation ruins, colonial forts, and cultural festivals all speak to this heritage. On the U.S. side, St. Thomas is lively with historic harbors and duty-free shopping, while St. John is famed for its national parklands that protect beaches and trails. The British Virgin Islands, meanwhile, are legendary among sailors, with anchorages at Virgin Gorda’s Baths and Jost Van Dyke’s laid-back beach bars adding to their allure.

What unites the Virgin Islands is their atmosphere: welcoming, unhurried, and deeply tied to the sea. Whether you’re wandering through heritage towns, snorkeling with sea turtles, or sailing between islands, the experience is one of both adventure and ease.
